Four Decades. One Company.
Every Install, Our Name On It.

C&M Associates was founded in 1983 around a simple idea: if you're going to put your name on it, stand behind it. Forty-three years later, every install still carries our name — and one phone number to call. Here's who we are and the people who show up on site.

Meet The Owner

Ben Hurst, Owner

Ben Hurst runs C&M Associates the way it's been run since 1983 — as a Michigan-rooted business where the owner still answers the phone and walks the install sites. Ben has owned the company since 2014.

Ben grew up around gymnasium equipment. He understands the difference between gear that gets specced into a bid sheet and gear that holds up after twenty years of district basketball, volleyball tournaments, and graduation ceremonies. That difference is the whole reason customers keep coming back.

Under Ben's leadership, C&M has stayed focused on three things: knowing the product inside and out, hiring installers who treat every gym like it's their own school, and answering when an Athletic Director calls because something broke twelve hours before tip-off.

"We don't sell equipment. We sell the assurance that what we put in your gym will be safe, working, and supported for the life of the facility. That's the only promise that matters." — Ben Hurst, Owner

What We Believe

Three Principles. No Exceptions.

Forty-three years in business is built on saying the same thing every day and meaning it.

01

Own The Outcome

One accountable company. Our standards, start to finish. If something isn't right, you don't chase three companies — you call us, and we fix it.

02

Show Up When It Matters

A broken backstop the night of homecoming isn't a ticket — it's a phone call we take. Schools who've worked with us know what that means.

03

Safety Is Non-Negotiable

Every install, every inspection, every repair meets or exceeds manufacturer and state safety codes. Kids use this equipment. That's the only standard.
